Be Your Own Boss Network (BYOB), a student organization of the Georgia State University College of Law, invited Eggplanter to give a presentation on legal technology and how new technology can help attorneys to build successful law practices.
Through our discussion with students who are interning at solo law firms or small sized law firms, students point out that their employers often face difficulties in practice management. Some solos even considered closing their practices because they’re so drowned in managing the practice; these attorneys don’t have time or resource to screen and accept the large volume of new cases and had to turn away numbers of potential clients. There are many excellent law practice management software that provide great solutions to help attorneys to better manage different every day tasks, yet many firms are still struggling because some software can be too complex for attorneys to invest time to learn all the unnecessary features, or the software is simply not intuitive. Hence, causing inconvenience and stress to attorneys.
A solution should be intuitive, time saving, and efficient which are all important to the success of a law practice, especially to solos and small firms where limited resources are available. Eggplanter believes in solutions that are simple, intuitive, and powerful—solutions that allow attorneys to focus on what they do best, practicing law.
Is the advancement of legal technology helping your firm? Is there any problem in practice management that you would like it to be solved? Share your thoughts.
